Global search
Global search is a single field that queries the artifacts in your active project and links you straight to whatever you find. Open it from the search control in the top bar; the full page is at /search.
What it searches
Search spans the project's artifacts, including:
- Requirements
- Risks
- Issues
- Schedule tasks
- Test cases, test procedures, and test plans
- Documents such as concept-of-operations and statement-of-work sections
Results are typed, so you can tell at a glance what kind of artifact each match is.
How to use it
- Open search from the top bar (or go to
/search). - Type a query — a phrase, an ID such as
REQ-0014, an owner's name, or any text from an artifact. - Scan the results, which are grouped and labeled by type.
- Click a result to open the matching artifact in its own page, with the matching item brought into view.
Scope
Search is scoped to the active project. To search a different project, switch to it in the sidebar first.
Tips
- Search by ID (for example
REQ-0042) to jump straight to a known requirement instead of scrolling a long list. - Search by a distinctive phrase from an artifact when you remember the wording but not where it lives.
